Hodge Podge
By Benjamin Domask-Ruh
Performing on our stage September 2024
HODGE PODGE is an experimental circus and physical theatre piece exploring the alternative to a narrative and the exceptions to entertaining art. Hodge Podge hopes to overcome the media gap presented by easily accessible entertainment such as netflix, hulu, etc. and find moving moments of interaction, engagement, and play by bringing an audience together and attempting to connect memories to experience. BubbleGumBalls and Bubble Machines unite under radiant light fixtures and a blue tarp furnished by green grass, pink flowers, and juggling mysteries to bring imagination out of your hippocampus and into the interactive theatre space. Hodge Podge presents an oasis for the mind, body, and soul while we search for the answer to fulfilment, purpose, and meaning.
Warning: Balls will be juggled, feathers will be balanced, giant scissors appear, and a projector will be used. |

A Red Herring
by CAHOOT?! Physical Theatre
Performing on our stage April 12th-21st
"In the sprawling metropolis of Triton City, “Salty” Sloane McNulty seems past their prime as a private detective. But when lead scientist of the Triton City Aquarium and Research Center, Dr. Finneas Plunc, barges into Salty’s office with an urgent plea to help him track down a stolen experiment, it looks like Detective McNulty is back for one last case.
Taking place throughout Triton City with the help of shadow puppetry and an overhead projector, A Red Herring is performed in the style of a film noir brought to life off the screen. Explore the sewers, dance with sharks, follow the clues, and join the chase to discover what really happened in the case of the stolen Crimson Clupeidae." This delightful, imaginative piece of theatre will be brought to our stage by CAHOOT?! Physical Theatre based out of Minneapolis, MN. CAHOOT?! Physical Theatre aims to subvert economic, geographic, and social boundaries by making innovative theatre available to everyone. "At the core of our mission is a radical idea: theatre (and art) should be available to everyone. Our goal is to create high-quality productions available to the public in the community and without a price tag. By doing this, we hope to break down the barriers of location, income, and class to bring innovative theatre to everyone."- Cahoot?! Physical Theatre |
