Arts Education with Festival Theatre
We believe learning through the arts develops individuals that are team players, innovative thinkers, multi-versed interpreters, and compassionate, tolerant members of society.
Socially, intellectually, creatively, and emotionally, individuals who experience the arts on a regular basis are better equipped to meet the challenges of our changing world… And it’s also a whole bunch of FUN!

As part of our Arts Education mission, Festival Theatre provides a number of opportunities for youth actors in areas of performance, design, and stage management. Performance opportunities include roles in both our Youth and Family series and our Theatre series.
Each season, our Youth and Family Series stages two children's theatre productions with youth actors from the area. The youth actors are joined by professional actor-educators who mentor them through the six-week rehearsal process with supplemental workshops on such topics as actor movement and voice. We also occasionally have youth roles available in our Theatre Series. Check back for information about future youth roles as they become available. |
