Festival Theatre Internship Program
Festival Theatre’s Internship Program offers…
On Stage Experience - Acting interns and apprentices will have opportunities to perform or understudy in our mainstage shows.
Design and Stage Management Opportunities - Interns and apprentices with experience and interest are often considered for design, stage management, and assistant stage management positions throughout the summer.
An Enriching Workshop Series - Workshops are set up throughout the summer to allow for unique experiences with the ultimate goal of individual growth as a performer, teammate, artist, teaching artist, and human being.
Teaching Artist - Interns and apprentices will assist in leading Playmakers Summer Camps for community youth ages 8 -18. Teaching Artists are paid an hourly fee including a travel stipend where applicable.
Improv - All summer company members participate in weekly improv shows on Friday nights in July and August. Improvers explore short and long form improv and receive a split of the house.
Involvement In Production / Administrative Teams - Teams include Scenic Carpentry, Stage Management, Box Office/House Management, or Administrative Assistance.
Stipends / Housing - Interns and apprentices receive a stipend during their time as an intern, as well as provided housing during contracts.

A video audition and/or interview (Two monologues: one comedic and one contrasting. As well as 16-32 bars of a musical theatre song.)
