Festival Theatre utilizes a long standing Host Home Program, which matches guest artists with area hosts for the duration of their time working at Festival. Guest artists' full time stays range from three weeks to seven months, but part time hosts are also needed for shorter term stays.
Festival’s Host Home Program is well-established, and many hosts open their homes year after year. Others are just entering the program for the first time, as was the case with St. Croix Falls Mayor Brian Blesi in 2013. Others have hosted longer term actors “The actors are inspiring, enthusiastic and they bring a lot of energy, joy and laughs into our home,” says Ed Moersfelder. “They quickly become family”
Host families become an integral part of a guest artist's experience by welcoming them into our community. In addition to helping ensure Festival can hire the best talent from all over the nation, because Festival Theatre is a 501(c)(3) organization, hosts may also wish to check with their tax advisor to determine if they are eligible for a tax deductible donation for hosting a guest artist.

Festival’s summer season of live professional theatre opens June 20th with “Little Shop of Horrors,” then on July 4th, a comedy “The Complete Works of Shakespeare (abridged) [revised]” opens in rotating rep.
