Plan to stop in to Festival Theatre, a tour oasis for the 2014 Earth Arts Spring Art Tour on Saturday and Sunday, May 3rd and 4th, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. both days.
Folks driving around the upper St. Croix River valley are bound to see the simple, distinctive Art Tour signs directing them to the various studios and galleries hosting the Earth Arts members.
Festival Theatre is a tour oasis in downtown St. Croix Falls, and is hosting the following visual artists in the Elbow Room of the historic Civic Auditorium:
Sister Kristine Haugen of Hermitage Arts, with watercolor paintings, prints and mixed media;
Don Karsky, musician and maker of world hand drums;
Fizz Kizer, singer/songwriter and craftsman of three-dimensional lake art; and
Julie Ann Lehrke (Stage), bronze sculptor and creator of the River Spirit sculpture for the City of St. Croix Falls.
Tours of the historic auditorium will be offered throughout the weekend, plus the Act II Lounge will be open for all visitors. Tour brochures are available at the theatre, at the Polk County Information Center, plus many more locations.
