Our Arts Education mission at Festival Theatre is to make quality professional theatre financially accessible to students and educators. A 2014 study published in Science Daily concluded that "field trips to live theater enhance literary knowledge, tolerance and empathy among students." Click here to read more.

Each production features youth actors from our community in prominent roles including students from the school districts of St. Croix Falls, Grantsburg, Osceola, Unity, Luck, Center City, Hudson, and more.

Cinderella
Adapted by Jaclyn Johnson and Jonathan Levine

The popular story of Cinderella told by our local youth actors. Come remember the annoying stepsisters, the wicked stepmother, the charming prince, the enchanted evening and transformation. A classic fairy tale with a fun, contemporary twist.
Available student matinee dates:
Monday September 10, Tuesday September 11*, Wednesday September 12, Thursday September 13, Friday September 14*

Little Women
Adapted by Marissa Chamberlain from the book by Louisa May Alcott

A beautiful staging of Louisa May Alcott’s iconic coming-of-age story, Chamberlain’s adaptation focuses on the year 1864 - a pivotal time for the March sisters at the height of the American Civil War.  Meg, the beauty, Jo, the strong-willed, Beth, the peacemaker, and Amy, the youngest, laugh, love and learn through poverty, illness and sibling-rivalry as they mature into the women they are meant to be.

Tuesdays: 10/9, 10/16, 10/23
Wednesdays: 10/10, 10/17, 10/24

Miracle On 34th Street
A holiday classic for all ages, Miracle on 34th Street asks us all, “Do you believe in Santa Claus?” It’s the trial of the century when Kris Kringle takes on the skeptics in this time-honored, holiday show - one that is sure to have you believing in miracles.
