Festival
Theatre celebrates two decades as a professional theater
company in a nearly century-old Vaudeville house. Inside,
our 250-seat theater is intimate, warm and friendly. The
view outside is a theatre unto itself: smooth waters of
the St. Croix, whispering breezes and - for the lucky -
an occasional circling eagle. The Act II Café offers
locally produced award-winning wine, gourmet desserts and
a chance to kick back and take it all in. Exceptional performances.

2011 Field Trips
Festival Theatre provides arts education opportunities for
school groups of all ages. Classes will enjoy an educational
outing to our venue, with a full Theatre Series and an expanded
Youth & Family Theatre Series. Cinderella
will be in production in April, and the musical Seussical
during the summer months.
This year we are offering two Youth & Family Theatre Productions
in the fall. The Hobbit opens to
the public on September 15th and runs through the 25th. Dates
are set on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for school groups to see
our local youth and adult cast members, working alongside
professional mentors, explore the adventures of Bilbo Baggins
as he fights to win his share of a treasure guarded by a fierce
dragon.
The Mystery of Irma Vep
will be staged October 6th – 30th and is appropriate
for secondary students. Written by Charles Ludlam, this hilarious
satire features two dynamic actors who bravely take on the
eight characters and more than thirty-five lightning-fast
costume changes built into the play.
Beginning December 3rd A Laura
Ingalls Wilder Christmas will take center stage,
again featuring local talent and stimulating youthful imaginations.
Join Laura and her family during a challenging winter when
the strength of family bonds brings them all closer. This
original play presents the poignant story of the "missing"
two years in the life of the Ingalls family—the only
substantial period that Laura chose not to write about in
her Little House books. Told with period songs, humor and
depth of character, A Laura Ingalls Wilder Christmas tells
a story of healing that celebrates the importance of family.
School matinees are available Tuesdays through Fridays.
Tickets
are priced right. Call 715-483-3387 to book your public or
home school group!
